Election Upcoming for Three Seats
On Committee on School District Organization
SAN JOSE, CA--On November 26, 2008, an election will be held to seat
three members on the Santa Clara County Committee on School District
Organization. There are 11 seats on the County Committee -- two from each
of the five county supervisorial districts, and one that is at-large. This
year there will be elections for one candidate from District 2, one from
District 4 and the at-large seat.
All candidates must be registered voters and reside within the supervisorial
district that they wish to represent. No employee of a public school
district or the County Office of Education may serve on the County Committee.
However, members of the governing board of a school district may serve.
Persons interested in serving on the County Committee should submit an
application to the County Office of Education. The application should
consist of a letter of intent to serve and a brief résumé of background and
experience which would contribute to participation in the activities of the
County Committee.
Candidates must submit the necessary information by 5 p.m. on October 30,
2008 to:
